This is a woman's shelter but is definatley kid friendly. If you are in an emergency situation and need to leave this is one of the places to go. If you are in an abusive relationship you can take refuge here ad well. Don't hesitate please just come! There are so many services offered here. They have counselling for residents but also outreach as well. There is also kids counselling available too! There is always a fridge full of food , a hot meal and an ear to listen. Please don't wait. This place has strict confidentiality rules and no men are allowed on premises which are also monitored by cameras at every entrance and in the parking lot. You have to be buzzed in because of high security standards!! Private rooms and rooms for mothers and children availiable!

Hamilton Interval House
We've worked with Interval House of Hamilton for three years now and we are constantly humbled by the work they do and the impact they have to women in the Hamilton community. We see first-hand how dedicated Nancy and the rest of the team are to women staying at the shelter, and how tirelessly they work to secure the much-needed funds to keep their programs running year after year.

Marillac Place
I am very blessed to be a part of the team at Marillac Place. It's a wonderful place to work. Karen is a phenomenal boss which makes such a difference. The staff are caring, supportive and enjoy their role in serving the women and children who come in to Marillac Place. A fantastic place to work!

I stayed there for a night. It was really bad experience. The shelter was dirty and open windows, dirty washrooms . People were peeking through the windows.

This place does not help you at all!I explained my situation and they advised me they are calling facs and they cannot help me! They have put words into my mouth that I have not said! I do not recommend going to this place for any services as they will not help you they will just set you up for failure!
